About ACE
ACEI has been basically formed to promote through education, scientific techniques and methods, the science of Cost Engineering and Cost Management comprising of multifarious activities such as Cost Estimation, Cost monitoring and Controls, Risk Analysis, Budgeting, Technology evaluations, Project economics and optimisation studies, project planning and time controls and other knowledge and skills in project Cost related activities. In a project life cycle ultimately, it is the cost – a resource is a cost, time is a cost, risk is a cost and even opportunity is a cost.
The organisation also proposes to provide forums and media through which the principles and techniques of cost engineering shall be reported, discussed and published. It also proposes to play a vital role in the cost management of the projects defining the road maps and necessary steps to estimate, monitor and control the cost of the projects.

The Aims and Objectives of Association
- To promote through education and scientific means, the science of Cost Engineering including Estimation, Cost Monitoring & Control, Risk Analysis, Project Economics, Planning & Scheduling and other skills for better Cost Management of Projects.
- To provide forums and media through which the principles and techniques of Cost Engineering may be reported, discussed, and published.
- To promote standardization of terminology in Cost Engineering, and develop cost data base, standard methods and practices.
- To encourage the inclusion of Cost Engineering instructions in engineering programs.
- To interact / co-operate with other organizations and related Institutions having common or related objectives, in furtherance of the objectives of the Association.
- To encourage and advance the knowledge, study and practice of the Cost Engineering and related fields.
- To provide a platform to connect on regional and international issues / agencies related to Cost Engineering activities.
- To establish, maintain or award, either itself or in co-operation with other bodies or persons fellowships, prizes, of proficiency in Cost Engineering and related fields.
- To promote educational programs, including workshops, discussion groups, and lecture courses to cover various aspects of Cost Engineering.
- To evaluate and issue specialty certification to individuals having special expertise in Cost Management and Cost Engineering.
- To enhance the Cost Engineering skills of Indian Professional Cost Engineers and prospective fresh engineering graduates who are aspiring to prosper in the Cost Engineering field.
- To publish books, magazines and other publications for the promotion, protection and advancement of Cost Engineering.
- The doing of all such other lawful things as considered necessary for the furtherance of the above Objectives of the Association.
